Session I- Saturday, May 18, 2025- Sunday, June 20, 2025
Session II- Saturday, June 22, 2025- Saturday, July 25, 2025
All students are required to move out and in on based on the regular schedule. Transition stay will not be offered. Students must find alternative housing in the transitions weeks.

Please remember summer school housing is reserved only for Howard University students taking summer classes at the University. If you will have an internship this summer, please review the Summer Camps, Conferences, and Internships section below.

Summer Camps, Conferences, and Internships:
Welcome to Howard University Summer Camps, Conference, and Intern Housing!
Howard University offers comfortable, convenient, and affordable housing accommodations in the heart of Washington, D.C. Whether you’re visiting for a short-term summer internship, attending a conference, or participating in a special program. Howard University offers flexible and affordable housing options to make your summer comfortable and memorable. Enjoy the full campus experience with easy access to academic facilities, dining, and recreational spaces—all just a short walk away. Howard University is situated in the most ideal location in Washington, DC. With downtown Chinatown just a few metro stops away and the U Street corridor around the corner, you will quickly be immersed in D.C.'s vibrant culture. Howard University is centralized around D.C. national monuments, museums, theaters, and fine dining. We also are conveniently located near government offices and other research facilities.
Summer Housing Eligibility & Requirements:
You qualify for the Summer Conference & Group Housing Program if you are:
- A group or conference with an educational and/or research purpose in the D.C. area and/or at Howard University.
- An individual interning at a governmental agency or office in D.C.
- An individual conducting research or participating in an educational program.
Eligibility requires the submission and approval of your application in accordance with the specified time frame. Interns and groups must plan their housing arrangements consistent with the earliest available arrival date of May 23, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm and the latest available departure date of July 25, 2025, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
Howard University does not provide housing to tourists or transient visitors. All guests must be engaged in some educational, research, and/or professional-orientated activity to reside at Howard University during the summer months. Howard University/Campus Apartments has the right to deny any applicant/applicants
We do not offer room accommodations for married couples or families. Guests with disabilities must request special housing arrangements at least two weeks before their arrival. These requests must be submitted along with a completed housing application
Pricing for Summer Housing:
Our summer housing rates remain among the most competitive rates in the D.C. area.

Howard University offers additional services for purchase to enjoy during your stay. They include:
Package A: Standard Linen Services includes:
- Bed linen, Bath and Wash towels, Pillowcases, and Bedspread
- $75 per week (5 days)/ $ 3 for additional days
Package B: Premium Bathroom Package includes:
- Soap, Toilet Paper, Trash Can Liners and Shower Curtain
- $50 per room (one-time fee)
Package C: Standard Bathroom Package includes:
- Toilet Paper and Shower Curtain
- $25 per room (one-time fee)
