The Division of Student Affairs at Howard University serves a critical role in ensuring the education of the whole student and achieving the academic mission of the institution. The Division is committed to achieving this critical, educational role and to providing a wide array of operationally efficient and cutting edge programs and services that support students’ academic endeavors from orientation to graduation.

The Armour J. Blackburn University Center serves as the social hub of the University providing an environment for cultural, recreational, leisure and intellectual enrichment outside of the classroom.

The OCHCE provides rewarding, experiential learning and growth experiences reflective of the University's core values of Truth, Excellence, Leadership and Service.

The Howard University Student Health Center provides full-time and part-time students with access to care for acute sickness and injuries, chronic disease management, specialty referrals, health promotion, and disease prevention education.

The Department of Residence life at Howard University is committed to creating and supporting a rich learning environment in a community of care and mutual respect.

The Office of Student Life & Activities strives to create a student-centered environment that supports the achievement of academic, professional and personal goals while promoting civility, respect, integrity and equity.

The Office of Student Services is a multi-functional office that supports the mission of the Division of Student Affairs by creating an academic and socially accessible environment in three critical areas: Disability Services, Veteran Affairs and Judicial Affairs.

The University Counseling Service (UCS) provides a full range of psychological and training services that appropriately addresses the varying levels of need for our student community.

The Howard University Intramural Sports and Recreational Activities program provides leisure activities, in both organized and informal co-ed sports and special activities, structured to meet the diverse cultural population of the university.
