Housing Application Updates
Dear Bison Community,
The Office of Residence Life and University Housing is excited to announce the upcoming launch of the 2025–2026 housing application process. Please carefully review the timeline and steps below.
Application Schedule
- May 8-15: Second-year students
- May 15-22: First-time-in-college (FTIC) students
- May 22-29: Third- and fourth-year students
Important Reminders
- A nonrefundable $50 application fee must be paid through StarRez before you can access the application.
- Paying the fee does not guarantee a housing assignment.
- Students may complete and submit the housing application; however, housing assignments will not be made for those with a prior balance. Please ensure your student account is clear to remain eligible for an assignment.
- FTIC and second-year students are required to live on campus. To opt out, you must submit an exemption form for approval.
How to Apply

2. Click Howard Student SSO Login.
3. Select Apply for Housing > Academic Year 2025–2026.
4. Pay the $50 nonrefundable application fee.
5. Enter payment details and complete the application.
