Office of Student Services

The Office of Student Services is a multi-functional office that supports the mission of the Division of Student Affairs by creating an academic and socially accessible environment in three critical areas: Disability Services, Veteran Affairs and Judicial Affairs.

Disability Services seeks to improve the educational development of students with disabilities and to enhance understanding and support within the university. We assure that qualified students with disabilities have equal access to all university programs and reasonable accommodations to services.

Veteran Affairs serves as a liaison between the Howard University student veterans and the US Department of Veteran Affairs. We assist student veterans with the processing of VA forms for veteran benefits, advise on procedural requirements and certify enrollment of student veterans to the Department of Veteran Affairs.

Judicial Affairs organizes a judicial system founded on the principles of equity, fairness and due process for the resolution of grievances in the Howard University community and is responsible for the enforcement of the Student Code of Conduct.

Our Mission

The Division Student Affairs supports the mission of the University by providing student-centered, high quality programs that promote an appreciation of diversity and foster a strong university community.
