**All students are required to move out and in on based on the regular schedule. Transition stay will not be offered. Students must find alternative housing in the transitions weeks.

Howard University is centralized around DC national monuments, museums, theaters, and fine dining. We also are conveniently located near government offices and other research facilities.

Howard University offers additional services for purchase to enjoy during your stay. They include:
Package A: Standard Linen Services includes:
- Bed linen, Bath and Wash towels, Pillowcases, and Bedspread
- $75 per week (5 days)/ $3 for additional days
Package B: Premium Bathroom Package includes:
- Soap, Toilet Paper, Trash Can Liners and Shower Curtain
- $50 per room (one-time fee)
Package C: Standard Bathroom Package includes:
- Toilet Paper and Shower Curtain
- $25 per room (one-time fee)

You qualify for the Summer Housing Program if you are:
- A group or conference with an educational and/or research purpose in the D.C. area and/or at Howard University.
- An individual interning at a governmental agency or office in D.C.
- An individual conducting research or participating in an educational program.
Eligibility requires the submission and approval of your application in accordance with the specified time frame. Interns and groups must plan their housing arrangements consistent with the earliest available arrival date of May 23, 2026, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and the latest available departure date of July 25, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Howard University does not provide housing to tourists or transient visitors. All guests must be engaged in some educational, research, and/or professional-orientated activity to reside at Howard University during the summer months. Howard University/Campus Apartments has the right to deny any applicant/applicants.
- We do not offer room accommodations for married couples or families.
- Guests with disabilities must request special housing arrangements at least two weeks before their arrival.
- These requests must be submitted along with a completed housing application.
